Any new projects in the work? Heard that you are moving. How’s that coming along and how is that going to affect your photography?
well, rite now i’ve been taking a photo a day everyday this year, hopefully it opens up my creativity a bit. i just want this year to be productive. and i just moved out of the downtown area but i plan on moving back very soon with some great friends of mine. living downtown makes photography a lot more fun. there are great locations every where!
You are trying to do a picture a day. Do you find this difficult? What inspired you to try to take on, what some photographers find to be a daunting task?
i find this pretty difficult, scheduling shoots on the weekend is tough because i work at pizza king fri-mon 330-1030 and when i get off work at night i go party it up, so the next day i just want to sleep up until i have to go to work. that is what the hardest thing for is about this.

What have been some of your favorite moments or stories in your photography so far?
warped tour was pretty fun this past summer, i went to some cities with a band for a few days. i wanna be touring the country taking photos everywhere! hopefully this summer i can do that.
Do you believe in New Years resolutions? Do you have any?i’m not too into the whole resolution thingy, although j did make a big list of things this year. i just think if we are going to change things to better ourselves we should be doing it at the exact moment of that feeling.
What have you been listening to lately? What have you been reading?
i’ve been listening to a lot of slim twig, black moth super rainbow, pavement, cymbals eat guitars and i’ve been writing lots of music too, which is amazing!

What are your favorite photographers to shoot with?
well, my really good buddy matty (flickr.com/mattyfranklin) has taught me everything i know and for the past 3 years or so we have been shooting together. now we are starting to shoot weddings which will hopefully transform into a full out business in the future.
Where do you see yourself in next few years?
i see myself a lot more knowledgeable and of course more talented, i’m going to be working really hard this year on my photography. its what i want to do with my life so i’m not going to start slacking. hopefully i’m somewhere warm, but at the same time, i love detroit a lot, and im probably not going to leave.
